The secret of those beautiful smokey eyes you see in glossy magazine and shows is the proper blending of lighter colors into the darker. One thing you need to keep in mind is to keep your eyes smokey but to stay away from dark browns and black. The other options are to go for a deep purple, a gold-brown or champagne base with bright blue and peach base with green hue. Here are some easy steps to get that perfect look without messing around.

You will require Eyeliner, Makeup brushes, Mascara, Eye primer, 2 Shadows: One light, one darker and here is how you can get those smokey eyes. Begin by applying a light shade of eyeshadow or mineral concealer to the under eye area, and all over the top lid. Keep your eyelids oil-free to avoid them from melting into your eyelid crease.

The next step is to use the trick of eyeliner. Depending on the color of the shadow, you can line your eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner. If your choice is typical black, brown or gray smokey eye then apply the same color liner by drawing line thicker in the middle of eye.

Once, the upper part is done, you need to move on to your bottom lashes. The key here is to use an eyeliner pencil and then run your finger over it to smudge it. After this apply a light, shimmery shadow and then blend it in darker color.

And now is the time to get the smokey effect with the perfect darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend in color from your lash line. You can also use sponge-tip applicator, smudge brush or a q-tip directly over the penciled area and smudge. Thou this may sound like a fine art, practice and time will make you a master of this. The final touch to your eye is to curl your lashes and enhance them by using several coats of mascara. Finally, use some natural looking blush on your cheeks. It will add some color to your complexion and you will be all set to step out with smokey eyes.

A spray tan is the quickest way to get to a fantasy body. It makes you look thinner and gives you an instant glow. Also a great way to hide cellulite. If you really want to boost your body image ask your therapist to spray a little more tan on the side of your abs. It will create an illusion of toned muscles.

When it comes to being tanned for your wedding day a tanning consultant can personalize your bridal party to ensure a consistent and complimenting colouring.

I would recommend a mobile tanning therapist. This gives you the flexibility have your tan applied in the privacy of your own home so you can comfortably wear a little as you like for your tanning experience. You may choose just wear a robe or loose clothing whilst you wait to shower.

To ensure a longer lasting tan it is ideal to exfoliate your body prior to your tan .

Brides are advised to have a natural colour to smooth imperfections and give a natural golden glow. The best choice is an organic 8% DHA organic active that will not rub off on a bridal gown. The higher the DHA the more lightly it will be to rub onto your gown.

A tan that can be washed off in 2 hrs or less is the most convenient. Apply moisturizer each time you shower this will also keep your tan looking great and lasting longer.

Choose a tanning product that is organic and is alcohol, parabeen and odour free. Most tanning solutions are made from sugarbeets and sugar canes .A good idea to ask before you have a tan applied.

A spray tan takes 10minutes to be applied and lasts 7-14 days. There are many products on the market to prolong your spray tan that you can apply yourself at home.A small amount of tanning crème can be applied each day, adding to the colour you already have.

Bleeding lipstick

Lipstick application can be tricky, especially when wearing red or bright shades. To avoid lipstick bleeding outside your lips and into fine lines around your mouth always use a liner. Line the outer line of your puckers and fully colour your lips with the lip liner colour before applying your lippie. It will keep the colour inside the lines and prolonging the colour when the lipstick comes off.

Use a bright colourful shade of lipstick on your puckers to draw all the attention away from your sleepy eyes. A statement red shade is a failsafe option.

You can apply a little gloss in the centre of your lips, this will make them appear fuller.

Voila! You’ll have effervescent lips all day long.

Who would like bigger beautiful EYES

Use light and shimmering shades of eye shadow and invest in a white eyeliner. It instantly opens up your eyes by attracting light, makes them stand out and appear wide awake.Make sure you purchase a non-waterproof as the waterproof type won’t stick to your inner lid.Always apply a lighter colour of shadow on the inside 3rd and under your eye to make your eyes appear larger.

Black eyeliner creates smaller darker eyes.Great for a smokey effect. Radiate your make-up look by lining the inner corner of your eyes and lightly line your upper and lower lash line to create a vivid bright look.

If you would like your eyes to be the focus in your day wear a paler shade of lipstick .If you have bluish dark circles around your eyes, it’s best to use a yellow-based concealer to cover up. If the skin around your eyes is more of a sallow brown colour, it’s best to conceal with a mauve-based shade.

Lining the inner eye with a creamy white pencil will open up the eyes.

Lining the eyes with black gives you a cat-like effect.

You can’t go past deep violet tones for smoky eyes, especially when you’re wearing black.

There is no eye shape that is not suited to smoky eyes.

If you want to add a little more colour, just hit the inner corner of your eyelids with a bright lavender, gold or blue. Metallic colours are best.

Smoky eyes are fantastic for women with small lips; focusing on the eyes takes the attention off the lips. If done properly, smoky eyes don’t have to be touched up after the initial application. Remember, they don’t have to be black and dark. You can achieve smoky eyes with bronzed colours, a jewelled effect, and even shades of green.
